“Carahsoft Awarded U.S. Department of Defense Blanket Purchase Agreement for Red Hat Software and Services”
In order to build awareness around Carahsoft’s third consecutive receipt of a Blanket Purchase Agreement for Red Hat software and services, I researched, drafted, edited, and published this press release on GlobeNewswire and on Carahsoft’s news site. In addition to the heavy technical nature of the contract and products, the significant media attention this release received separates it from other releases I have created on behalf of Carahsoft. Industry outlets that picked up the release include Army Technology, GovConWire, MeriTalk, and Washington Technology.
“5 Cybersecurity Trends Government Agencies Can’t Ignore in 2018”
As a Digital Media Coordinator, I collaborated with a Carahsoft manager and a company partner’s marketers to ghost-write this blog post for Venafi’s blog.
“5 Cybersecurity Trends Government Agencies Can’t Ignore in 2018” focuses on how strengthening identity credentials has received huge attention in the cybersecurity while machine keys, the credentials that machines use to communicate – and hackers use to steal data, have been neglected in comparison, leaving the federal government vulnerable.
“The New Normal in an Age of Zero Trust”
At Carahsoft, I ghost-write posts, coordinate artwork, and publish finished content for the Carahsoft Community site in conjunction with the Social Media Manager. I wrote “The New Normal in an Age of Zero Trust” as part of Carahsoft’s Innovation in Government campaign and highlights VMware Senior Director Matt Schneider’s views on the future of cybersecurity as networks become more porous and the Zero Trust philosophy creates a larger focus on continuous monitoring.
